What's New in Quenta

The updates we shipped this quarter, most of them requested by the businesses already using Quenta.

Quenta is being built into one thing: the Financial Command Center for Philippine businesses. Here is what changed recently, and why each change matters in day to day operations.

Payroll in six steps

The payroll run is now a guided six-step wizard, start to finish.

Payroll gets complicated fast. The system should carry that complexity in the background and give you a clear path to follow. That is what the wizard does.

Branch-aware procurement

Inventory Management now supports a branch-aware procurement process, built for businesses operating across several locations. Purchasing, receiving and stock now reflect where things actually are.

Read more about multi-branch inventory and accounting and how branch-aware inventory connects to the books.

OCR on supplier documents

Quenta's OCR document intelligence now reads supplier documents as well. Documents coming into the business become part of a connected process instead of another attachment someone still has to encode by hand.

See how Quenta approaches receipt and invoice capture and turns paper and PDFs into structured accounting data you can review and post.

Tax and compliance pack for PEZA and BOI registered companies

A new pack covering the reportorial requirements PEZA and BOI registered companies prepare for their regulatory authorities.

Tax Center: computed from your books, and traceable

Quenta follows the tax components of a transaction from the moment it is recorded and carries them into the Tax Center, where the tax payable is computed for you. You review the computation and copy the figures into the appropriate return.

The important part is that the numbers are verifiable. Click an amount in the computation and Quenta takes you back to the ledger and to the source documents supporting it. You are not asked to trust a number on a screen. You can trace it.

Also in the Tax Center:

  • Creditable withholding tax monitoring. See which withholding tax credits are already supported by a certificate and which ones still need following up, before filing time.
  • BIR deadlines, monitored in the Tax Center and surfaced on the dashboard, so compliance is handled before it becomes urgent.
  • Automatic BIR Form 2307 preparation. Quenta builds each 2307 from the transactions already recorded. You review, then print or email it. No more preparing them one by one.

Tax features compute estimates that you review and confirm before filing. Quenta does not file on your behalf, and this is general guidance, not tax advice. Please confirm with the BIR or your accountant.

Books of accounts, export ready

Business Insights now includes a dedicated books of accounts module, already prepared for export or printing. Useful for companies still maintaining manual books, for companies preparing to register for loose-leaf books of accounts, and for those already on loose-leaf who want records organized and ready to print.

A search bar

Small change, large effect. If you know what you want to do, you can search for it. Run payroll. Find a tax report. Locate a function or a process. New users should not have to know where everything is before the system becomes useful to them.

Most of these came from clients asking, and from presentations where we sat across the table from owners and finance teams. That is where the roadmap actually comes from.
